Girl In The City - S1E1: Relationships

Maybe we are asking for too much or maybe we aren’t asking for enough.

Why can’t we be truly honest with our partner about what the hell is going on in our lives?

Why do we have to keep secrets?

Are we afraid that it just might end up hurting our partner?

But aren’t we just hurting them anyways by not telling them? Seriously, what has this world come to?

Lies, secrets, dishonesty, jealously, wondering eyes. Reasons why we just keep to ourselves and not tell our partner.

In the end, we already know, we are just waiting for you to say something or to fuck up, cause in the end, we all fuck up one way or another.

Don't Cleanse These Crystals in Water!

After doing some research on safe crystals, and how not to cleanse crystals, I stumbled upon some interesting things. So, I decided to cram the research into a list!
During research, I found that a shocking amount of crystals can’t be submerged/cleansed in water because they contain chemicals that will release in water. I also found that I few will disperse and even disintegrate in water!
You can use sandalwood incense, or another type of cleansing incense and hover your crystals in them. Especially since there’s a lot of crystals on my list that you either can't cleanse them in salt or water or both.
Salt is an effective cleanser for crystals too. But when cleansing them in water, you do not need to leave them in long enough for certain minerals to break down. It’s all about your intention.
As a general rule, don't put Porous Stones in water! (Also Desert Roses are basically just sand loosely packed together, so DON'T!) Another I can think of would be not putting Sulfur Crystals in water because I don't know exactly what would happen, but it probably won't end up good. Always research your mineralogy before using them in spells or otherwise!
Just use earth, energy, or moonlight. Water, sun, and salt damage most if not all crystals.

Crystals to NOT cleanse/make gem water from:
1.Aquamarine
2.Turquoise
3.Pyrite
4. Ruby
5. Moonstone
6. Lapis Lazuli
7. Halite (I mean…it IS a salt crystal)
8. Garnet
9. Flourite
10. Amazonite
11. Desert Rose (I just found this out and I’m glad I did because I have one!)
12. Gypsum
13. Talc (just don’t do it)
14. Calcite
15. Angelite
16. Malachite (Really soft, massively toxic in water, even touching the water it’s in is dangerous itself!)
17. Witherite (just don’t…just don’t)
18. Any crystal containing copper!!
19. Selenite
20. Celestine
21. Cinnabar (REALLY NEVER)
All I’ve got for now! If there's something that I forgot to mention and that's not on this list, please let me know and I will add it to this list.

Instead of cleansing with water, cleanse these in the sunlight (just note, that some crystals fade in the sun), Moonlight (always safe, haha), Earth, or just general energy!

Charging Methods for Sigils

Charging Methods

This is no where near all the ways you can charge things so feel free to add to the list or send me other methods so I can add them to this list here. I intend to go back and add to it occasionally.

Fire
  • Draw it on paper (or something safe to burn) and burn it.
  • Draw it on a firework and set it off.
  • Carve it into a candle, light it and let the sigil melt away.
  • Place it close to a flame to absorb the light and heat.

Air
  • Draw it on wind chimes and hang them up.
  • Draw it on a balloon, blow the balloon up and pop it

Water
  • Draw it on something soluble and dissolve it in water.
  • Draw it on a rock (or something non-soluble) and place it in running water.
  • Draw it with something food safe on a tea bag and drink it (It's more using a sigil to charge the tea, but whatever).
  • Draw it on yourself then take a shower and let it was away.

Earth
  • Draw it on something biodegradable and bury it.
  • Transfer energy from previously charged crystals.

Light
  • Place it in the sun or moonlight.
  • Draw it with/in something that will disappear: lemon juice on paper, fog in a mirror, etc...
  • Paint it with glow in the dark paint, the light used to charge the paint and its own glow charges the sigil.

Technology
  • Place it on/under a device that is plugged in and charging.
  • Open the sigil as your background or screensaver or just leave it up for a while to be charged by the screen's light and energy or the computer.
  • Open the sigil in a paint or photo editing program, cut it to pieces and delete them (like you would tear up a piece of paper).
  • Place the sigil on/near speakers and play music (match the music to the intent of the sigil).
  • Post the sigil on social media with the intent that it charge with every like/reblog/thumbs/etc...

Personal Energy (Mental & Physical)
  • Direct your own personal energies into the sigil (Charging With Your Own Energies)
  • Draw it on yourself or something you have on you as you exercise: dance, run, play sports, etc...
  • Draw it on the bottom of the shoe and walk around on it all day.
  • Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it as you have sex/masturbate and orgasm.
  • Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it while experiencing pain.
  • Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it while experiencing extreme emotion.
  • Add a drop of blood to the sigil.

Other
  • Sing or play an instrument to it.
  • Place it in a music box, wind it up and let the music charge it.
  • Draw it on paper and tear the paper up.
  • Draw the sigil with food or crave it into food and eat it (bonus if it's baked/cooked/etc...)

Base Oils & Carrier Oils

Base Oils
A List of Carrier Oils and their Uses
AUGUST 1, 2015 ~ LAURA HOY
A List of Carrier Oils (also known as vegetable or base oils) and their Uses (in alphabetical order):

Carrier oils, also known as base oils or vegetable oils, are a great medium to use to blend essential oils with since they have their own nourishing properties. They can be used on their own for massage and in the bath, and are essential ingredients in skin care products. Essential oils should always be diluted before use on skin*.

To help you choose which base oils to use, here is a list with some of their most useful properties.

Almond ~ a great general use oil, not too rich or light, and full of nutrients. Caution – avoid with nut allergies.

Apricot ~ A very gentle light oil that I like to use with children, and people with sensitive skin.

Avocado ~ Very rich and nourishing but still absorbs well into skin, great for dry & mature skin.

Borage / Star flower ~ a lovely light oil that is particularly good for eczema and those with delicate skin.

Calendula / Marigold oil (marigold flowers macerated in olive oil) ~ if I could only use one base oil then this would be it, the olive oil is rich and full of nutrients and further enhanced with the healing properties of calendula flowers, great for all skin types, especially useful for problem or damaged skin. Watch out for my new blog on how to make your own ~ coming soon!

Coconut ~ I love this oil, as it is so versatile, it is great for skin, hair, and even in food. It is solid at room temperature, but very easily melts in warm hands, if it is a hot day, or you live in a tropical country, it is likely to melt and be in a liquid state. It has a very greasy feel to it, which makes it perfect for use as a cleanser as it easily removes dirt, grime, and makeup. It is particularly good for removing eye makeup, as it is so greasy, so there is no pull on the delicate skin around the eyes. If you do not like the strong smell of coconut, you can choose a deodorized version.

Macadamia ~ Very rich and nourishing but still absorbs well into skin, great for dry skin. If you buy the un-refined version, the smell is incredibly delicious. Caution – avoid with nut allergies.

Rosehip ~ this is the best oil I know for helping to heal scars and improving their appearance, a great oil to enrich any blend for skin care.

Sea buckthorn ~ I have been experimenting with this oil recently on my face, on its own as a night oil and as an ingredient in my creams. It really makes the skin glow and feels lovely.
