Roles and Masks

We all sometimes play a role and we all wear masks, pretending to be someone we aren't just to get a good juicy story to blow the lid off of some small time person. We all have to keep up pretenses to just try to fit in or get a good story out of it.

But who are we kidding really?! Do they even know the true person behind that shrouded mask? The disbelief of one another. The ninja is very sneaky, quiet and yet mysterious. He can get in and out of things in a jiff.

Take Carrie Bradshaw for example, her boss LaRissa told her to do a expose on a small time theater guy who is making a name for him in the biz. But little did he know, he was getting worked. As Carrie got closer to Weaver to get her scoop, she was falling for him, literately. She lost site on what was really important and this made LaRissa upset. Carrie only had one job to do if she really wanted to become a writer instead of an intern; and that was to expose Weaver on who he's really like.

As Carrie totally lost herself with this guy would she really see the bigger picture that this guy sabotaged her only chance to move forward to become a writer? Instead, Carrie is still making coffee for LaRissa but would she ever still write that article to get her big break? I know I would because we all play a role sometime and to teach his own, we all wear masks to hid our identity and keep it truly sacred and mysterious.

In the end, Carrie's relationship with Weaver didn't make it after all. Even tho, he was her first but not really sure if she will ever write that article to get that position that LaRissa offered her.

But who are we kidding? Roles and masks, play a very important part here because in the end we are all doing it for a job that we so desperately want.
